Post-college, he has devoted his spare time to cultivate "SilkySoul", the creative / expressive alter-ego that manifestes himself through hosting karaoke shows with an R&B flava, DJing parties, and the development of www.silkysoul.com, the crown-jewel of his enterprises.

Joel continues to strive to represent excellence in the endeavors of Silky Soul Entertainment while finding opportunities to contribute to the community through these efforts, as evidenced by the "community calendar" and "afro-ethnic business directory" on the site, as well as volunteering to coordinate teaching web technology to minority high school students for the local chapter of the BDPA.
